external dvd player for macbook

Hi-- my internal DVD player is having problems-- repeat msg of skipping over damaged part of disc... even on new undamgaged dvds. In a crunch and would like to buy a relatively (under $100) external dvd player for my macbook-- it would be great if it burned dvds as well.

Any suggestions?

Pretty much any external DVD drive will work. I got a LG one for $50.
