I'm looking to clone my 250gb HD over to a 1TB Western Digital 2.5 HD. I need to get an external USB harddrive enclosure, but most that I've seen say it has a 500GB capacity. Does anyone know of any cheap external enclosures that can get the job done? If so, can you provide a link? Thanks guys!

Ignore the capacity quota for the enclosures.. If 1tb drives were around it would say 1tb. It's a marketing quote is all.

I'm more concerned with the drive actually fitting in the enclosure being that the 1 TB is 12.5mm high

When the enclosures say fits 500GB they're referring to the max height being 9.5mm. I purchased one and the 1TB does not fit, however; you can still plug in a bigger drive into it minus the housing being attached.

another thing to consider is why only USB you might like the ability to use other inputs for faster transfer rates.
