I have an SSD from my old MacBook Pro Retina 13" (late 2012) lying around, and would like to use it as an external drive with my new MacBook Pro (2016).

I've tried finding an enclosure with USB-C interface, with I have not been successful yet.

I hope someone can lead me in the right direction.

I'm using this one from Inatech and it works perfectly.

And --- the Apple-supplied card looks like it should be an mSATA card, but unfortunately, is not.
You have to find an enclosure that accepts the proprietary connector used on that card.

The OWC one is pretty good, you just need a cable USB 3.0 to USB-C cable, like this one

Yeah, hurrah for Apple and their insistence on using proprietary connectors. :|
I actually already got an old enclosure that fits, Transcend JetDrive 720, but would prefer to upgrade the entire enclosure instead of only the "wiring". :)
