External Enclosure help

Hey all,

I'm looking at three different enclosures for a bootable backup via SuperDuper and video/audio storage. I'm going with a 1TB Western Digital Green drive with two partitions. Speed of backups is NOT a concern, but I don't want to wait to copy video and video. USB is fast, but will I see any benefit by paying twice as much for FireWire 800? I've done an exhaustive Google search and benchmark results are mixed. I think the Macally enclosure looks better and the Rosewill enclosure has been said to be difficult to take apart. Is it worth the extra $20-40 for Firewire 800? Any personal experiences?

The usefulness of the FW 800 depends on what you currently have for gear and what your future needs might be.

I liked the Macally enclosure lookwise. When I got a new one, I opted for the FW800 version even though it's more expensive. Especially since the new MacPro only has FW800.

There seems to be a persistent problem with the power supplies for Macally enclosures.

did you finally buy the Macally enclosure ? I'm also thinking about buying the fw 800 one
