I'm typing from a Macbook because my stupid self spilled a drink on my brand new Macbook pro and killed it. My harddrive is still kickin so I want to use it as an external hard drive at the moment. I was looking for external hard drive casings and I realized there was a bunch of different sizes and confusing things so I figured I'd just come here and ask. Do I have to get a certain size casing or a specific one for Mac or anything of the sorts?

2.5" SATA enclosure. Your safest bet is to get one with USB, but you should also get FW if your MB has a FW port.

No this macbook doesn't have a firewire port. So its essentially just a replacement until I can get a new macbook pro, considering I bought the macbook pro specifically for video editing, I'm pretty screwed as far as that goes without firewire.
