My Acomdata twin drive 2TB died today. It won't power up. I think the drives are okay, but not for sure because it won't power up. I have all my ripped movies on it! What can I do? I was thinking maybe I can buy another one (same model) and plug those two drives in the new one. Your thoughts?

Drives are RAID 0.

Can I pull the drives out and put it in another enclosure and save my data?

With it being RAID 0 you cant just pull the drives and get your data off.

Is it under warranty? Have you called the company and hear what they have to say? It is possible it is just a bad power adapter which you can get a replacement and try first.

If all of that fails, your best chance would be to get the same unit, and put your drives in and see what happens.

For your sake I hope its just a bad power brick.
