Hey,

I have a 320GB My Passport WD HDD, and it's worked well in the past, but I wanted it formatted as NTFS, so I installed MacFuse and NTFS for Mac.

Things didn't work flawlessly, so I backed up all my stuff onto my girlfriend's MacBook, formatted it OS X and copied everything back over. I backed up some stuff from my MacBook onto it a few weeks ago, and now I am trying to back up some more, but I plug it in and it doesn't show up and the HDD just makes clicking noises, or it shows up for half a second, and then I get an error about removing the device without ejecting it.

But the thing that is weird is that it works perfectly in my girlfriend's MacBook. I uninstalled MacFuse and NTFS for Mac and it still isn't working. I also have some USB stuff installed (it had to be installed to hack my iPod touch - I don't remember exactly what it was called). Anyone know the problem or what I should try?

Some more info: If I hold it up to my ear, the HDD whirls up, then stops and clicks. This continues. If I plug it into my girlfriend's, it whirls up and continues going without stopping.
