I'm looking to get an external enclosure for 200gb hd I have and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on which brands/models play nicely with MACs and OSX? I'm looking to get one that has both Firewire and USB2 connections.

Thanks

definitely one of the Oxford chipsets as vinow mentioned, and newegg.com has some good ones and great prices too

I bought one from CompUSA. I paid a little much because I needed one in a hurry. It worked fine. Not sure what the chipset was.

I've got the macally external firewire400/usb2 and they work great. I think I paid around $45 each on newegg.

melrosemac.com

Got my external HD from melrosemac.com in Burbank, CA.
It's 200 G and I got it for $200, and it's only has FW400 connection, good stuff. No problems...

OWC sells the same external HD...
