Hi,

I have an external drive I used for backing up my mac and was therefore HFS+ formatted. Having had my previous mac stolen I want to recover my files from this hard drive.

For some reason however, the file system seems to have corrupted itself. The drive cannot be read from any mac. I have managed to acces the drive using transmac on a PC but macdrive won't read it.

In the disk management panel of a PC the drive is identified as having a RAW file system.

Any ideas on how to recover my data?

Thanks

Connect the HDD to another Mac and open Disk Utility and see what it says after you have verified the disk. Maybe you can even repair it via Disk Utility.
