Hey Guys,

I have bought an external hard drive (Fujitsu) recently and turned into an Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format.

I was wondering can it be formatted on the same lines as an iPod. I mean like the iPod that can be detected as an external hard drive by both Windows & Mac. Can't I do the same for my external hard drive?

Cheers

When I go to my Disk Utility, there is an option of MS-DOS (FAT), but not FAT32.

I'm using Leopard.

Can you back up using Time Machine if the external HDD is FAT32 ?
