External Hard Drive Issue

I have a 1TB LaCie Rugged drive that is connected via USB 3.0

I copied a bunch of files to it and am now trying to organize those files within the drive.

The issue I have is that instead of moving the files around within the drive, it is instead trying to copy them. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Also, the drive is not partitioned and I am running OSX Lion on a Early 2008 MacBook Pro

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
