So, I had to do an emergency install of Leopard, and now I'm trying to get iTunes to find the music on my external hard drive.

I had stored my iTunes Music folder on the external drive before the new install. Now, when I point my new iTunes to use this folder as the new library location, nothing happens.

Do I need to manually drag my huge collection back into iTunes?

Thanks!

Just drag the iTunes folder while holding option into iTunes, that should make the music show up without copying to the internal drive.

go into preferences

depending on which version of;Tunes you are running, there should be sapce for you to locate the music location- probably in advanced
