External hard drive not found on Mac side "?"

Hello,
I am running Mac OS 10, boot camp, and WIN XP. I have three external hard drives (a One Touch, and two My Books). On the WIN side all three externals are seen in My Computer and accessible. On the Mac side one of the My Books is not seen on the desktop. It was there for a long time, then one day it disappeared. Now I need to access it, I cannot make it reappear with disconnection/reconnection or rebooting.

Any ideas? All much appreciated!
