External hard drive problem

Dear

I bought a new MacBook Pro 13" this week, before this purchase I was a PC user.
So today I connected my 2TB HDD to my MBP, realizing it was still formatted to NTFS.
I removed all the files and formatted it to exFAT with my PC (an average Acer).
Then reconnected the HDD with my MacBook and backed my MBP up.
Everything went very smooth so far. Then I reconnected the HDD again with my PC to add some files.
But suddenly my PC doesn't recognize my HDD anymore...
How can I solve this? I'm new with this so all help is welcome.

Windows should recognize exfat regardless, that is odd.

Try a new usb port? Reformat?

I dont even both with that and I use NTFS for Mac by PARAGON (http://www.paragon-software.com/home/ntfs-mac/) worth the small investment and makes life a million times easier.

Also MacDrive for PC (http://www.mediafour.com/products/macdrive) makes life easy for the HFS on Windows side but it cost more money.

That is weird, I agree and would try reformatting on the mac side and see what happens.

Solved

I just did a reformat and everything works fine now (the files exchange).
I think it's not possible to use the HDD for PC and Mac + Backups with Time Machine. (last part won't make it work on PC)
So I'll have to buy another HDD for backups.

I believe you can also partition the drive and have it work for TM + PC, however I tend to want a separate drive for the backups.
