My dad gave me his old Western Digital Passport 1TB hard drive last summer, and it was partitioned half mac, half windows. ( i have a macbook, but as anyone that grew up with computers [dad was a programmer] our hearts are with PCs because of the gaming and customized builds.)
but i just purchased the go flex satellite wi-fi hard drive, but it works both with mac and windows without any partition or formatting of the drive.
i don't get this, if it works either way why partition? and why does Western Digital still sell two different versions of it? might as well have one model with a 3.0 USB and a thunderbolt port rather than have two different models.
