I only have about 15gb left on my iMac. I would love to put my movies on my external (partitioned for time machine and storage), but how would I be able to keep them on my iPod when I sync from iTunes on my computer? Also, is there a way to partition my external (WD 500GB MyBook) again without losing all my backups? I am using Leopard.

I'll answer your first question... If you want, you can move your entire iTunes folder to your external and then just tell iTunes to use that folder...

So when I sync my iPod, would I drag that folder on my iPod? (guessing that's not right) Could I do this with movies only? To do this, I would need to re-partition my external. Anyway to do that?

Is there a way to have movies on my iPod, not on my iTunes, and then sync my iPod without losing those movies? If so, I'll just put my movies on my external.
