I think I accidentally unplugged it with out Ejecting it, I've done this before without any problems though. Now It will not mount, the only place I can see it is in Disk Utility where its greyed out and it tells me to run a disk repair if I try to mount or eject it. When I run a disk repair it does nothing.

Please help! I need the files for work really soon!

Before you panic, try completely unplugging it from the wall. Don't just turn it off -- unplug it. I had this happen with an external HD as well, and shutting it off didn't reset it. Only when I completely unplugged it from power did it reset. :apple:

my hard drive powers from the computer itself so it doesn't have a power button or plug :\ I'm trying it on a PC now as i've heard usually that works.
