so i bought a seagate free agent pro external hard drive to transfer my pictures and music to my new macbook. i connected the hard drive to my old computer and dragged all of the music/pictures on to the hard drive.
can i just disconnect the external hard drive from the computer and hook it up to the new one, and drag all of the files onto it?
thanks

anyways, you want to disconnect the xternal hd from which computer? your PC computer or your macbook?

what is the "hook it up to the new one"

what is this NEW ONE ? your new macbook? or your new seagate hd?

sorry that was confusing.
my old computer was a pc.
i put my music and pictures from my old pc onto the external hard drive.
can i just plug the external hd into the new MB and drag the music/ pictures into iTunes and iPhoto?

basically, how do i copy things from my old pc to my new mac using the external hd?

oh just copy and paste the data from your old pc

then plug out the external harddrive from your PC

now connect the external HD to your macbook

then your external harddrive will come up on your desktop

just drag and drop it into your macintosh documents/movies/pictures/music to whatever folder ou want it to be saved to

don't just drag your stuff from your external harddrive into your itunes

it will make every song not found since you're not going ot have your external HD connected everythime you want ti play yhour music

i hope i helped

please donat emoney to my paypallol
