Hey everyone!

I currently own a 120GB WD Passport...its a great drive but its currently full and is pretty slow. I am looking right now into buying a new external hard drive, anything over 200GB. I currently looking into these drives...if anybody has any of these, please tell me what they are like and if you have a recommendation, let me know. I would really like a drive with FireWire 400/800 and USB.

WD 500GB MyBook Studio Edition: http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.asp?driveid=371

OWC Mercury Elite: http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Other%20World%20Computing/MEFW934AL1KS/

MiniStack V3...a bit expensive without the drive:cool:http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Newer%20Technology/FWU2ESMSV3/

I also was looking at the Seagate Freeagent, but those things are pretty damn ugly. If anybody has any other recommendations, please post them!

Thanks

My friend has the MyBook drive, the OWC is bit outdated since it was designed with the Power Mac G5 in mind. MiniStack is a bit overpriced, but you're best bet is SeaGate. I have a SeaGate FreeAgent Go (120GB) and it works great. I personally trust WD/SeaGate for hard drives. Hitachi for notebook drives of course.
