I was running an external hard drive on my old pc, i just plugged it into my ibook g4, it sees it, accesses it but cant edit it, I wanna be able to drag files to oit, what can I do?

I tried formating it using disk utility but it gave me an error, any ideas? btw, i cant mount the drive correctly

And that error would be....?

Its probably NTFS formatted, which can be read fine, but cannot be written to AFAIK.

You need to format FAT32 if you still want to use on your PC, otherwise HFS+ journaled should be fine.

when I try to verify the disk it just gives me an error, I tried erasing, and partitioning the drive, am i doing something wrong, I knmow it is mac compatable, also, in disk utility, it shows two drives, the first says external usb etc, then under that to the right, it says disk 1s3, what do I do to which?? Also, the disk does not show up on my desktop but does on disk utility
