external hard drives

hi to the world from england
i have just got a Buffalo Live Linkstation 500GB NAS Network Hard Drive and i
cannot get it to work from my mac book or via my netgear router. i have tried using the buffalo site for drives but i had no joy so any help would go down fine

You need those to get it work I think
