External HardDrive not read by Mac, but read through MacDrive

Hey, first of all these are my specs:

So about a month ago I got Lacie's 4TB Porsche Design External Hard Drive.

My Mac has a BootCamp partition through which I run Windows 7. Due to my constant use of both OSs I partition the External HD: one is NTFS and the other one is Mac OS Extended

Once I did that it worked perfectly. Through Bootcamp I was able to use the NTFS partition on Windows and vice verse for the Mac partition.

As I was away on a holiday for a month and today was the first time I plugged it in since I used it a month ago. Through my Mac side I can only see the HD through Disk Utility:

I went to my Windows which read both partitions without a problem. For the Mac one I had to get the free trial of MacDrive.

I can understand why my mac won't see the NTFS partition but am confused as to why it can't read the MacOS Extended partition when MacDrive can through Windows.

Soo forum any ideas?

Ps: I apologise if there is an already existing thread, I spent a good old hour trying to find a similar problem with no result.
