I have a 500GB Lacie external harddrive. I want to be able to create 2 partitions, 1 for Time Machine for backing up my MBP and the other to store files from my PC. Is that possible? I partitioned it with Partition Magic on the PC side and the MAC couldnt recognize it (cause the Journaled format is not available i guess). Then I partitioned it using disk utility and now my PC cant recognize the second partition and my mac only sees the partition that TM is using. Hope Im not being too confusing.

Sure, it should work.

:D Good to know that it should work. Can you show me how? That will be extremely appreciated

Ps: darn.. cant change the title of the thread "partitions".. not "petitions"

Pss: NVM!! haha.. got it.. created 2 partitions.. 1 extended journaled and the other ms-dos FAT.

was just going to say that
1 extended journaled and the other ms-dos FAT.

you change the title out side the thread when you see it in the forum click twice and it should change
