External Hardrive Not recognized

Helloo,

When i plug my external hard drive in my iBook G4 dont seem to recognize it. It use to but now it dont. Does anyone know why???


Also when ever i put a picture on desktop it seems to go straight to a file called 'Original Pictures'. Why does it do that?? How do i stop it from doing that?.
