On day 4 with the new 27" iMac. All is working fine dandy and super snappy. A HUGE improvement from my 2009 MBP... no big surprise there.

This morning when I woke Mac up from sleep, I was greeted with a Finder notification that read:
"Disk not ejected Properly. Eject "XYZ" before disconnecting or turning it off."
This notification appears now every single time I wake it from sleep.
I am using a Bus-powered external via USB, OWC is the brand. I am using this as my TM.
  1. I didn't get this message the first 3 days that I was using this new machine. Why would it appear now?
  2. Is there setting that needs to be set-up to avoid this? IS it El Cap? Is it the iMac?
  3. I never got this message on my old MBP.
Any light that y'all can shine on this is much appreciated.
