OK, so I have a 1 TB simpledrive that serves as my external HD for my 2008 black MB. It's USB but powered by an AC adapter. It currently has 3 partitions.

As of a few days ago, I've been having all sorts of trouble accessing the drive. Namely, I can rarely get all three partitions to show up on the desktop at once, and in disk utility, the absent ones are listed as unmounted. But the thing that's really giving me issue is that even when the "media" partition is available through the desktop or disk utility, it says there are 0 items on it, even though it lists only 78 GB free of over 200 - I can't even get my music off to just reformat.

And, once these drives show up as mounted, I can't unmount them, and as such Disk Utility can't verify or repair anything. It will say they're in use but they never are. I've tried force unmounting via terminal commands, logging in under a different user, etc.

If any one has any ideas at all, I'd be all ears and very appreciative.
