I have a 500GB external G Drive Slim that I use for my MacBook Air 11". I want to get movies and such off of my G5, but when I plug it in and try to copy files it says that the drive is full. Any reason? Way around it?

The drive has over 300 gb free, but doesn't show that when connected to the G5. It says capacity is --KB and available is --KB

How big is the external hard drive? What format is it? What is the version of Mac OS X on the G5?

Try verifying the drive on both the G5 and the Macbook with Disk Utility. If it sees and problems, try repairing it on the Air first, then the G5.

Fixed. The date and clock weren't set correctly. That was the issue. Duh. Thanks for your help!
