Hi Guys,

I have a WD External HDD which I used on my PC. I want to transfer some Video files from my MAC to it and it wont let me. However, it will let me take files from the HDD to the MAC. Any ideas.

Cheers,
Marc

Check your permissions on the folder you are dragging files to on the external drive.

How is the drive formatted? FAT32?

Ahhh, When I got to Get info, the file type is windows NTFS. Im assuming this will be why?

That would be why--OS-X can natively only read NTFS--not write to it. There are third party solutions that will allow you to write. In the future, if you want to read/write to/from Windows/OS-X, then format your external is FAT-32.

Thought as much, Cheers guys!
