Alright so I picked up a SilverStone Tech FW Aluminum Case for my HD. The fan in it is fairly noisy and emits an annoying high pitched hum. I have disconnected the fan and have been monitoring the temperature of the case. It gets warm at times but no where near hot. I think the solid aluminum casing does a fairly good job getting rid of heat. Is this a really bad idea? Or as long as it's not crazy hot it should be ok? Im thinking of going to an electronics store and trying to find a quieter fan...But in the mean time just wondering some of your opinions

The best case designs us a temperature controlled fan and a good heat sink. The fan stays off unless the disk gets hit hard.
