External HD not Mounting w/MBP

I have a LaCie FW400 drive that I used with my previous iMac G5. I tried hooking it up to my MBP and it won't mount. I tried opening up Disk Utility but when I click on First Aid it doesn't allow me to select any of the options to help fix it. Anyone have any ideas what to do to get it to mount? Do I have to reformat the drive? Thanks!
