External HD Question

If an external HD has a USB and FireWire connection, is it possible to hook both up to the same computer to have faster transfer speeds?

Not that I know of, sorry.

Just tried it. It kinda screws up the drives, but a disk repair in disk utility fixed it. I don't think I'll try that again.
