I'm looking to get an external hard drive to extend the hard drive capacity of my MacBook and was wondering what was the best way to go about this. Some things that I was thinking about using it for is the default storage for my iTunes library.

I have a Time Capsule and was wondering if it would be better to plug it into the USB port on the Time Capsule to access via Airport Extreme or would it be better to plug it into my MacBook and access the hard drive that way.

Any advice is good advice. Pros and cons and things of that nature helps too. Thanks in advance.

you will get the fastest access if you plug into firewire if you have firewire. Even USB is faster than wi-fi. You might think about partitioning the disk so that you can have a bootable backup from SuperDuper or CCC.
