External HDD for new iMac 27" backup - Seagate Backup Plus Desktop USB 3.0

I have just ordered a new 27" i7+1TB FD and I am thinking about the best solution to back it up (actually cloning it with Carbon Copy Cloner) on an external drive.

Do you think the 1TB Seagate Desktop Plus Backup (USB 3.0) would be ok? It is going to be a "bootable" drive?

Any thunderbolt/SSD alternative solution seems to be just too expensive for my needs.
