I've recently bought a Mac Mini, and thought that by using a FAT32 formatted external HDD I'd have the best of both worlds by being able to use this as my main HDD for work etc across both OS's.

The issue I'm having is that using bootcamp, XP doesn't recognise the external HDD once XP has loaded - I have to unplug the USB cable and re-plug it in each time windows has loaded for it to be visible. In OSX the drive automatically mounts when booting in OSX.

The USB HDD in question is a USB powered, 250GB Rugged Lacie drive... I'll be a bit gutted if I can't get it to be automatically recognised in both OS's - unplugging and plugging back in doesn't really seem like a great solution really, and I purposely bought a smaller internal HDD on the Mac Mini as I knew the large external one could pick up the slack.

Any advice/possible solutions would be really appreciated.
