External HDD now 'Read only' after upgrading to Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

HDD is formatted in FAT32 - worked perfectly with 10.6, all the files on there have been written by the iMac I'm writing this from but now I've just tried copying stuff over to it and the permissions are set to read only. There's no where that I can see to change this, no padlocks or tick boxes etc.

Any helps please guys? Thanks in advance, Paul W
