External HDD to Network Drive

Is there a way for me to make my Western Digital drive into a Network drive?? I need to find some way of hooking it up to my Netgear Box but i can't find an adapter for USB to Ethernet anywhere? Is this even possible?

What your looking for is a USB file server. A bunch of people produce some products to do this. http://www.keyspan.com/products/us4a/
