Hi! I'm kind of new, so I don't know if this is the right spot to post this. Let me know if its not, please.

Anyway, I'm looking to buy an external set of iPod speakers to mount in my electric car. What makes this tricky is it needs either the sort of DC adapter that plugs into a car socket, or it needs to be battery operated.

If anybody could recommend something, that would be great.:)

You could buy a Bose Sounddock Portable and mount it on your dash somehow! :D

It uses a Li-Ion battery so you could use it for up to 8 hours while traveling in your car and then just bring it in at night to charge it up for the next day. Or you could figure out some sort of AC adaptor for the cigarette lighter.

I also need DC powered iPod Speakers!

Does anyone know of any speaker system for iPod that plugs into a car charger? I am giving an iPod and speakers to a friend who lives off the grid with only solar DC power, and would rather not use disposable batteries. Thanks
