External iSight Woes

Well, I just got a external iSight for my mom so we could video chat and I have a problem. It is not working on my 2.4 Macbook Pro 10.6.1.

I have read people have issues with SL and even Leopard.

The green light turns on for a sec and then it quickly goes off.

If I go to iChat to select the camera, it tells me my external iSight is turned off.

If I go to Photo Booth, and then try to change the Camera from the menu bar, the iSight is grayed out.

I have resest my PRAM already. No luck

Chax isn't supported with 10.6.

I don't really no were to turn now. Anyone know what to do?

Well guys, I fixed it somehow or another. I reset the PRAM again and for some reason or another it decided to work this time around. Go figure?

I'm glad this didn't turn into some huge fiasco. Yeehaw!
