I bought a verbatim mediastation, as it said on the box that it will work with mac os 9.0 or higher and I have a Mac book pro 10.6.2 and when i connected he mediastation to the mac as directed in the instructions a error message comes up saying un- readable disk. when checking the user guide it just saying no install required for mac. please can some one help?

this is my first time on this forum and unsure if i have put this is the right area sorry if its not...

hi its a verbatim 47530, 500gb

sorry to sound dim, where do i need to look to find out the hard drive format?

Yes that is the one, I bought it actually from a shop (not online other wise would have seen this) and it said that is was compatible. How frustrating.... you should be able to believe what the box says!!!!!!!!!! so its a returns jobby then!
