MBP Retina, 256G, 2012.

So I plug an iPhone headset into the jack and in Mac OS it works as a mic just fine.

But then I do the same in Windows 7 with bootcamp installed (v 4.0 btw) and it just doesn't seem to work. In the "Recordings" tab, as you can see, is only the internal mic.

Same problem. I've found no solution so far, neither has this thread:

Apparently it's a common problem :(
 
It seems as if the problem is in missing Mic-HID windows driver.
That's the part that sits on mic wire and extracts remote commands from the signal.
