External mic for iphone 4?

You can get something like this, the quality is much better than the built in microphone and it's pretty small and compact. Reviews are overall very good.

Very nice unit, but doesn't seem to work with iPhone 4. I suspect it requires more power than the iPhone delivers through the mini-jack. It would be nice if they specified that the mic isn't for iPhone. I'm still looking for an inexpensive directional mic for the iPhone.
The iPhone 4 requires a special adapter to use external mics. Check out KVconnection.com This mic may NOT work even with their adapter, but they will know if it's compatible.

You'll need something like a KVConnection adapter so that the condenser mic's TRS (tip ring sleeve) plug will adapt correctly to the inputs on the iPhone (which uses a TRRS plug (tip ring ring sleevestereo headphones and mic connection).
