Hey everyone!

It’s me, with another wacky question.

So, I was thinking of holding off on buying a monitor until my programming and designing (print work and photography) skills improved, but after a few days of using my makeshift standing desk, my upper back has started hurting.

I really love my desk, but looking down at my screen for 8-12 hours a days is going to cause some problems.

So, I’ve been considering getting an external monitor sooner rather than later.

Here’s my dilemma:

- Although I plan on getting a high quality 4K monitor in the future for the type of work I‘m learning to do, I feel I’m still a ways off before I’d need a 27” 4K monitor that costs 600 bucks (at least until the end of the year). This would be the monitor: https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-27UL850-W-4k-uhd-led-monitor

- I’ve been wanting a 4K TV for a long while now, so I thought this might be the perfect excuse... er... reason to buy a new TV. I could use the TV as a monitor in the meantime until I’m ready to get a more professional monitor. This is what I’m looking at right now: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsun...tv-smart-led-with-hdr/6401722.p?skuId=6401722

- These are still expensive purchases, and I’m trying to be more responsible with my money. My current budget is 600 bucks at most. So, maybe I should just buy a large monitor that should help me out for about 8 months, sell it (if possible) and then buy what I need when I can start charging for services. This is what I’m looking at: https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/del...9hc/apd/210-aqcq/monitors-monitor-accessories.

So, what are your thoughts? What would you all recommend?

Please and thank you!
