external monitor and changing desktops

Before upgrading to Lion, I could keep my email client and chat sessions open on my secondary monitor while switching between desktops on my primary. I haven't found a way to do this in Lion. And I HAVE been looking for it.

Any solutions?

Right click on the App in the Dock and selection Options -> All Desktops under Assign. Hope this helps.

Another issue I found with multiple monitors is that in command center you CANNOT drag a window from one virtual desktop to another on the other monitor ONLY on the same monitor. 10.6 didn't play too well with multiple monitors though either.
