I am looking for an affordable external monitor that is compatible with a Macbook Pro (15", mid 2010). I will be using the monitor for web and graphic design (sRGB and 110 ppi, non retina or 220 ppi retina). I'm going to upgrade my mbp next year and was hoping to get a monitor that could work for both. I was looking at the Dell Ultra HD 4k 2715Q (27") but don't know if it's compatible. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
