External monitor connection??

Does it matter if i use a hdmi cable or a dp cable??? Any difference quality wise???

1- mini dp to hdmi
2 - mini dp to dp

Pretty sure HDMI only supports up to 1920x1200 whereas displayport goes up to 2560x1600. If you don't need more than 1920x1200 then I don't think there's any noticeable difference between the two.

It would depend on the monitor you are connecting it to, I'd think.

If you are hooking it up to a TV doubled as a monitor, HDMI should be fine, but if it's a designated monitor, then I'd use DVI/DP.

both monitors are 1920x1200
