I'm thinking of getting an external monitor for my macbook pro (non-retina 2012 model). The one that caught my interest right now is a 24" IPS LG display with a resolution of 1920X1200. My worry is that my macbook with its intel hd 4000 graphic might not handle it very well (I do some light gaming). How is everyone's experience with using external monitor with that graphic chip?

Also, there are two ports on that monitor: DVI and D-sub. Which one is the better option cuz I'm planning on buying only one adapter for my mini displayport.

P.S: please excuse my english ;)
