External Monitor Issues with Windows 7

Right, got a Samsung T220 hooked upto to my late 08 MacBook via MiniDP - VGA works a treat with Leopard.

But will not work properly at all with Windows 7. I've installed the latest Nvidia drivers, latest drivers for my monitor and nothing the best i get is if i close the MacBook the Monitor adjusts to 1680x1050 but flickers all the time.

Is there anyway around this or is it just a case of Windows 7 is Beta and not everything works?
