External monitor problem?

Hello,

I have a MacBook Pro 2016 and whenever I connect external monitor it zooms everything in and I just can't seem to find solution for this anywhere.

Before I used this monitor with my MacBook Air and it worked perfectly.

The monitor is HP Pavillion 27xi 1980 by 1080.

It's like mot usable anymore at all.

How is the display connected?

Try this:
1. Open the "displays" preference pane.
2. Hold the option key down and click the "scaled" button
3. Do you see either 1920x1080 -or- 1080p ?
4. Try either (or both)
5. Any difference?
