I have a late 13" 2013 MBP. I know it doesn't support a 4K display at 60Hz so I got a 2K display. It's an Auria EQ276WN 27" (link below). The native resolution looks great at 2560 x 1440. My only gripe is the menu bar and most apps are rather small. I know this is due to the high resolution but when I'm using just the rMPB I have the scaled option to increase text size to make everything look perfect. Why don't I have this same option with this monitor? I bought a 4K Samsung screen earlier today not knowing it wouldn't do 60Hz with my current laptop but that display did have that option. I can take this monitor back if thats the issue. If that's the problem can anyone recommend a 2K display that will give me that option? Thanks hope this makes sense :)

EDIT: The monitor is connected via a Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable.
