I need some advice to get me going on a new external monitor. I have a 13 inch macbook pro from last year that I am trying to hook to a new external monitor with 1920x1080 resolution. If I buy this monitor and hook the macbook to it will the program I am running on the macbook display the new high resolution on the monitor? I am using a program from work that requires this resolution and I just want to make sure that this will work. Any ideas are appreciated.

The 13" MBP is capable of outputting 2560 x 1600 pixel on an external monitor, therefore 1920 x 1080 pixel on a smaller display will work too.

Thanks for the quick reply. Our SCADA interface at work will only look right with the higher resolution monitors.
